If it was in good condition I would just swap out the entire thing. There are more than a few people here that just cut into their stock harness though. Either one really works, I think it comes down to your own personal comfort level with either process.

Use your harness. The t-bird harness is a huge mess that you don't want to deal with. It is much easier to re-pin the harness in your mustang than it is to try to use the complete harness from the t-bird. I'm working on the same kind of swap right now. Heres some good info for your wiring needs...

I assume 87-88 turbocoupe computer and vam. Like pointed out start out with vam. I thought you had already running 2.3t and going more power. There is a learning curve with the turbo. I would repin my own harness. There is more wires on the 91 since if remember correct it is a 8plug engine to begine with. But the 87-88 turbocoupe harness is a mess. I have one in my shed and I removed it for extra wiring material. [was free anyway] I bought the motor and he was crushing the rest. That harness had the ride control, motor etc. About twice as much as the Mustang. Maurice

I just wanted to thank you guys for all your info and advice. I finally got it up and running with the 91 computer and a pro m mas air and 30# injectors. I have a fum that is 12:1 and I ordered a recalibration kit from summit cause it is pig rich. Here is a pic, and yes I know I need a intercooler bad

As for your question, I don't know. I haven't read a whole lot about the quarterhorse tuning process.
you are right! I am very hard headed but finally gave in. I am going to use the vam and a dist. I want to get better mileage because now I get like 15 and that is not cool with gas prices the way they are. And I hope my headaches go away as well

You can run DIS not EDIS with the stock turbo computer with. Just have to wire in the DIS system into the Mustang wiring.

They are converting a distributor to dis. You already there except the wiring so look at that and compare may help. Maurice
