2.3 lx won't run
I have an 89 2.3 LX at. Pressure washed the engine 1 year ago has not run since. New parts as follow, plugs. ignition module, fuel pump and filter, fuel pressure regulator. 37 psi fuel pressure at rail. Will run if starting fluid is sprayed into throttle body but not on its own. Car sat for approx. 3 years before i got it. Ran when I brought it home. Does anyone have any thoughts on what to look for next?

I'd check your wiring for the fuel injectors. You may have watered the harness connector(s). You have fuel pressure so the pump should be working and it'll start when you spray fluid in it so it must not be cycling it through the injectors for some reason.

i had the same symptoms and the injectors were(all 4) froze up, clogged or stuck, whatever. I replaced them with junkyard parts even though the ones i found were pintel type and the ones it came with were orifice types. while i had them out i could check them while applying 12 volts( i just hooked them up to the battery) and you can hear them "click"

couple ideas
obviously everyones gonna say dont pressure wash the entire engine... duh... so we'll get past that.
the fuel injectors is where i would start. check the connections there to make sure they arent rusted, then double check the plugs and prolly replace them and the wires.
personally, i'd just tear the engine out, took my friend and i 47 minutes last time, then pull off the head, making sure to have another head gasket available and check out the wear on the pistons... replace the rings and reinstall everything then change out the injectors and you have yourself a poor mans overhaul :P
someone told me once that after an overhaul... theres physically
