Hi 2.3 L section
Hello MFers.
Just wanted to say hi and I also just picked up a 1993 Mustang LX 2.3L Auto.
I spend most of my time over in the 4.6 and SVT sections of forum.
As you can see in sig I also own a 97 SVT Cobra and 99GT.
Love both cars to death but I also wanted to do up a FOX and 93 are my favorite year in the FOX.
Being new to the FOXES any info you could fill me in on.:?Like common issues.
Id like to make this FOX someday into a 460 CI monster when im done with my other projects
Thank You and see you around 2.3 Liter MFers

I got my 93 2.3 this past Feb and plan on modding it in the near future. This forum is kind of dead but I hope to get some good advice in here. I like my car. Its got 149k miles on it. Runs real good but the mileage is only like 17 mpg on a tank. Needs new shocks, pain, and thats about it.

Hello man forum not dead. I got lost and came back and made some comments. Lot of forums are getting slow. Between work and my cars been busy. I will try to stop in more. Maurice
Heck I want a v-10 in a foxbody.

For the 460 swap you will need a V8 K-member to begin with. Don't plan on taking your little fox around any corners with the 460 in it. It is too heavy to allow for anything resembling decent handling anywhere but the 1/4 strip. Besides the fact that the 460 is by far the most expensive V8 to build, but if you are still wanting to do this I can offer you this advice. Find a 1968-72 460 (came with the 365 stock horsepower) and is the best of those engines out of the 30 year run that Ford used them for.
Another idea would be to purchase a book called "Building the Mustang Mini-stock" and using it as a guide to building one fast little four cylinder foxbody. My little 93 fox 2.3l Auto has been the recipient of some modifications (suspension and motor) from suggestions from that book. I get 2.3l performance parts and machine work done via Esslinger Engineering (in Los Angeles). When you see some of the engines Esslinger puts out (for 2.3l powered Midget racers) you'll flip your lid. Nothing better than seeing the look on some V8 Hot Rodders face as my little 93 leaves him behind.
