so i have a 93 4 cyl. and we tried an engine swap to a turbocoupe engine. everything was screwed up so we took all that out and put the regular 4 banger back in ..... i have a few problems
1.the engine is backfiring in both the exhaust and the intake
2.the fuel management box is buzzing
3. there is no spark to 5 of the 8 coils
and lastly (im pretty positive that this is because only 3 coils are sparking) the engine is making a knocking noise, ive had this happen before when the EFI module went out .
we've swaped out a few computes fuel management boxes and the efi module. what else is left to do????

Sure sounds like you may have mixed up some wires somewhere.
If it was a 4.6Liter I could give you a solid answer most likely.

But really theres not much to these 2.3 Liters so Im sure I will learn quick enough to give help to people who need it on these oldies but work horses

I got it man!!!!! There was a ground wire that was severed she's back on the road in perfect shape

Why did you go back to the non turbo 2.3 engine? Was the swap hard to do? Why not try to find another 2.3t motor? Just wondering because I am thinking about doing that swap to my 93 in the next few months.
