Default cooling issue

i have a 90 2.3l and im having a cooling issue i know the heater core is damaged but i replaced the thermostat ado have blowing and now i have blowing heat but the temp gauge barley reads 130 im doing a coolant flush tormorrow and the core does anyone have any ideas on what else could cause very little heat..... thanks

i had the same problem with my 93, what degree thermostat did you put in? i think factory specs are 195* are you experiencing overcooling? if so you could try a higher degree thermostat. (either 180* or 195* dont run 160* for daily driving) maybe a electrical problem too try replacing sending units (one on heater hoses other mounted on intake somewhere)
