Default Need some advice

Hey all I have got a question for y'all.
I have a 93 4Runner and have been looking for a suitable car to trade it for for gas mileage purposes. also I want something a little smaller. and heres what I found.
a 1991 Mustang 2.3 L 4 Cylinder 5 spd Manual. its got 150K miles on it and The guy I'm getting it from is a mechanic. Of course before anything ill get my mechanic to check it out. but I am curious what you guys think.

The 2.3 n/a is a fun little car. it severely lacks in the power dept stock but it will still get up and go somewhat decent because of the gearing, mine came with a 3.45 rear gear.

Gas mileage is somewhat ok ~20-23mpg

The engine itself is very reliable and can take a lot of abuse without failure. If you do have a problem these cars are very easy to work on and there is a fairky decent aftermarket for upgrades, if you know where to look.

I'm not really that invested in getting something with power, (I have an suv) I'm ok going slow . That gas mileage is really what's atteactive to me. Also the reliability.

What are some things I should look out for when checking out this car?

Timing marks are aligned properly and belt hasn't jumped teeth, All 8 plugs are firing, solenoid works and all the other normal stuff.
