Default 93 LX Hatchback

Hi,
I have kind of a stupid question. There is a 1993 Mustang LX Hatchback for sale near me andI was wondering whata car is worth if It's "Sold as TMU", which I believe means "True Miles Unknown".On the outside it has many dings and dents, rust, leaves on the inside, and there is fog and moisture underneath the headlights, one side looks higher than the other, 4 cylinder. How much is a car worth if the true miles are "unknown"? A friend of mine told me basically, its worth nothing because that could mean either adifferent engine was put in or the odometer was messed up, and as far as the fog it could have been underwater. He told me its probably worth about $400..the guy is asking $1200..Opinions would be appreciated as im new to all of this..Thanks!!

dude, i bought mine for $500 in almost perfect condition. with only 96000 miles on it. no dents just needed a paint job on the hood. don't buy it. theres plenty of them around for cheaper than that and in better shape.

1200 is way to much....

how does it run? ask him to start it up, see if it idles smooth/runs smooth

the fog and moisture in the headlights could have built up overtime if there still the stock headlights... hell, mine are brand new and im still getting a bit of condensation.

No way would I pay that for what you described. That is what I paid for mine and I know the milage, and just about everything else about it. Can you get pics of the car?? If it's leaning then there could have been a nasty reck in the past. Shop around a little more, there are cheaper ones out there that are in better shape.

1450 for a 4banger? :\ I paid 1200 and I thought it was a little much but it was all redone, body, tires, brakes, glass etc.
