Default 4cyclinder dohc turbo volvo motor in a fox??

anyone ever hear of it? or no alot about the volvo turbo motors? i figure all these people say a volvo head fits on a 2.3l almost, but why bother, just us the whole drivetrain! a dohc turbo would surely put a turbo lima motor to shame.

it is actually just the DOHC head, i am sure you could fit the whole motor in, but most only swap the head... talk to sleeper about it, he knows more

Yes and it is beautiful workmanship. Runs fine no performance fiqures. It is just the head swap only with a lot of modifications Info on the work needed. http://www.merkurtech.com/merkurtech...es/item045.php

The LIMA block is more durable than the volvo block from all that I've heard.

I know you can make the volvo block fit but you have to do alot of cutting, fitting, and custom work to get it to work and fit right

I don't know of any transmission that would fit if you used the Volvo motor. Also, these lima blocks are pretty stout.
The Volvo HEAD conversion is a good way to get two cams but the parts can add up.
