Default valve cover gasket

The valve cover on my 88 has been leaking for a while now. It's just a stock 88 2.3 hatch, my daily driver. What is the best valve cover gasket to use? Is the blue felpro an ok replacement or should I get the fatory Ford gasket?

Get the Ford one. Little less than $40 dollars. But solves the problem even in boost application. Put in dry no silicone etc. Has metal insert. Part # F57Z-6584-A . Hope this helps.

If you have a stamped metal cover then a felpro one will work, just make sure to tq it down to 10 f. lbs I believe

Crappy luck my friend.

Get a new front fender, door and pop the back 1/4 out and it should be good as new.

Sleeper, the more I think about it I figure I will probably fix it. The car is just so reliable and gets around 32mpg. I'd hate to see it go, it's a great daily driver.

Fix it. Check aroun j-yard or pull-a-part. Just new parts up and drive. If get money later paint it. Rear quarter not hard to fix. A hammer and dolly not bad. PS nice older Nova had a 72 Nova back around 1980 307 with a 2speed automatic. Loved it but needed money so sold it.
