Do you have the clutch bands and shift linkage installed properly?

what is the proper way to adjust the shift linkage.. well i started it and would let it run for about 10 min at a time, and just kept the fluid up, and i figured i was gonna have to tear apart the valve body again... damn.. just before i started that, i tried to shift it again, and it went in reverse and drive.. i just drove it around, it shifts a little high, but into every gear, and they are all working. except for when it goes into reverse, it feels like its a 5-speed and i side stepped the clutch, its not very smooth

does anyone know which way the vacuum modulator is supposed to be adjusted?

I got a new neutral safety switch in today, and now i have to wait for the roads to clear up before i can break in the new rebuild.. we just got about a foot of snow, right after the biggest flood in the city of Fargo's history.. i love this place

Hi,

Nice work on that trans! You should make a "How to...." thread.

And sorry to hear about Fargo... ive been watching some of that coverage on the Weather Channel.

Did you ever figure out why it wouldnt 'move' to start with when you first put it back together?

i think it was because the fluid wasnt all the way through the transmission, it just had to pump all the way through..

are we really on the national news?
