PERFORMANCE PARTS ????

Sleeper is right, but if you don't want to do the whole swap thing then there are a few things you can do to get a bit more pep out of your car. Take a look around the forums as there are some threads covering things more in depth, but to get you started here are a few things you can start looking into.
Gut the air silencer or just go straight to a cold air intake.
Replace exhaust manifold with a Ranger header.
Replace camshaft with a roller cam setup (also from a Ranger)
Gut your upper intake and port the lower intake.
Port & polish your head. (depending on the extent you go with this, it can cost as much as buying the turbo engine.)
That should get you going.

lols 2.3t for those mechanically inclined & wanting to be original.
5.0 for weekend project and instant HP, no brainer lol. parts are way more common for a 5.0 than 2.3t. although you need to know what your looking for, for the 2.3t
