Hi,

Sleeper did a auto to manual conversion with no issues so you might want to take alook at his write-up for it

I used the auto crossmember... Maybe thats why I never had any issues with height?

My buddy from work did the same swap I did an his fits fine lol, maybe i will try the auto crossmember, seems that I am the only one with this problem

My '89, '84, & '86 were like that, they were factory auto cars. '88, '91, & other '86 sat lower, were factory 5 spd cars.

I dont know if this helps any but i had the same issue with the same mount and i bought a energy suspension mount and it was quite a bit smaller than the mount i bought at the parts store. Maybe it would help
