Not sure are you using a T-5 rear trans mount or the A4ld one? Not sure if that makes a differance. May want to call parts house and use you car year and check part number of each and see if differant. I know from a couple other posting it is close.
Something else. Notice using a double hump crossmember. For a v-8 May have ask for the t-5 mount for a 5.0 Mustang. Maybe the 5.0 sits differant. Just a idea
Added rear view of a 90 2.3 t-5 mustang I use to have. This is view from front of car toward rear. Sorry only picture I have of the mount area. Car is gone and now crushed. [Van hit it parked at guy I sold it to]
The mount thats in it I got from advance and i asked for 1993 trans mount for manual car, I did have one I got from ford dealer and just told them t5 mount and it was a inch taller than the one in there now, I will go to the parts house tomorrow and see if i can compare some more
I tried a 5.0 style mount and its taller than what i have now. What I have now is a 4cyl t5 mount. So now I guess ill be looking into the crossmember. Any ideas about that?
I don't know. If notice picture mine was a 5.0 crossmember. Ps just notice.
Maybe this will help. His car is 2.3 turbo but would be same as 2.3na as far as trans swalp. http://www.stinger-performance.com/howto.html
Well we both learned something. And that is reason for the forums. At least got fiqured out and thanks for letting everyone know what it takes. Now if someone runs a search they can see what solved it. thanks Maurice
I just did the swap on my 94 2.3 .The donor car's crossmenber wad rotted out , so I used my A4LD mount.Just drilled acouple of holes for the mount and cut a little from the bottom to get access to one of the nuts. Used spacers on the frame brackets , as the crossmember is narrower.Works great and is the right hight.
