Exclamation need to know what this is

hey guys im from manitoba in canada, im hope to be buying a 92 ford mustang 2.3l 4cyl, i took pics of the car when i was looking at it and i was looking at this engine bay picture closely and i found this connection un pluged beside the purple thin wire, i dont care about the purple wire it looks like wire the guy added in but the connector there is unpluged and i would like to know what it is for and what it does, my guess is, its for the temp guage for the solenoid in the transmission, so it was un pluged so the solenoid wouldnt over react and stall the car but i dunno what it is and its been puzzling me can u guys help me out? thanks

Looks kinda like a fan plug for the dual fans like in the t-coupes. Merely a guess though.

It looks like it might be the bottom plug to the DIS module that its in front of. The top plug is plugged in so it might be the bottom. Its too fart to tell but thats what it looks like to me. The DIS is the Distributorless Ignition System. For the 8 spark plug wires.
