I might just go the toggle switch route. I don't think I know enough to try and track down an electrical issue. I read somewhere here about a universal thermostat that goes on the radiator and runs the fan that way...could that be another option?

By the way, thanks dreamer1uk for all your time and help on this!

Hi,

If you go the toggle switch route, make sure you have a fuse in the wiring and id recomend a toggle switch with an LED so you know when the fans are on and such. Alot of vehicles use a 30amp fuse on most radiator fan control circuits. Toggle switches too will also have a maximum current rating also.

Id also recomend soldering the connections too with heat shrink or at the minimum, use butt connectors.

I think Sleeper_Inc has a write up around here on a toggle switch setup for his fans. If not, im almost possitive you can find a "How To..." online somewhere else.

If you can find some wiring diagrams that you could PM me, i can help you more, or, if you can wait till Wednesday evening, i have access to Alldata for all vehicles at college so i can check on there also.

Hope this helps.
