Default Yet another exhaust thread...

So i've been on a cheap modding kick with my 89 lately, so my friend offered me a couple thrush glasspacks for free. They are 18" i beleive. I'm planning on clamping one in place of the stock muffler but i was wondering what you guys thought about glasspacks on the 2.3. I've looked at all the videos i could find but they all just sound bad because of the sound quality i guess.

I was also considering putting the second one in place of the cat but i'm not sure what kind of sound level i want. Thoughts please

My 2.3 I have the Muffler cut off so the pipe ends about 2 or 3 ft. past the cats and with low rpm's It sounds pretty damn ballsy but you won't mistake it for a 302

Hi,

Ive heard a 91 2.3 NA with a cherry bomb glass pack and tbh, it sounded like a ricer Civic as he accelerated away from me. He had the cat removed too.

I dont see the point in spending alot of money on an exhaust system seeing these 2.3's are only around 100hp stock.... unless you were planning on doing a 2.3T later down the road

that's what i figured it would sound like, only thing is i know it didn't sound like a civic, but i get what you are saying. the glasspacks have just been given to me so it's gonna cost me less than $10 to put them on. power is not really an issue for me i'm really going for fuel economy
