Default need help with a few thingzzzzzzzzz

i need to improve my mpg on my 93 auto 4 cylinder,,,,,,and when i put my car in reverse it hops,, and in drive it hops,, bad iz ths normal,,,,and when i cum to a stop my brakes arent skweaking there never have but now ther mking a weird grind sound what that just pads or more,,, any repies will help,, thanks

What kind of mileage are you getting now? A good tune up always helps, new air and fuel filters, change spark plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Run some fuel cleaner through the system, maybe even send some Seafoam through the engine as well. Make sure tires are properly inflated.

Not sure about the trans, could you explain more as to what you classify as hopping?

As for the brakes, is it the front or back that is squeaking? Probably want to pull the wheels off and take a look before the problem gets worse. They could be worn out or just need some readjusting.
