I tried the singh grooves on a go cart that i built up once, it seems so un-exacting that i've been wary of doing it on anything that i've spent real money on. how do you not screw up? lol thats the only way i can think to word the question

By screwing up enough! lol

you ideally look at succesful patterns and how they compair to the chamber roof, plug layout, piston dish/dome. then you groove for the areas most likely to burn last to the spark. trial and error. just do it to old engines and see. something with no value. ie an na 2.3 lol.

its in every aspect a science. very few people know a lot about it and even fewer will share. ive cut my teeth a bit and thats all i can say to help you. its such a hard thing to even quantitate as a gain or loss without vasts sums of recorded information. try singh groove in google and read up on the singh website for starts
