Lightweight flywheel, worth while?
Well after getting my engine back together I decdided to go ahead a t5 swap before install. So Im going to run a spec stage 2 clutch. Now has anyone upgraded to a 10.5 lb flywheel?either aluminum fidanza or a lightweight steel counterpart? they are lil more costly but if it helps a good bit its worth it. I saw on a mustang site newer mustang owners werent happy with the lightweight aluminum due to the fact with less weight you had to rev more to get the car moving and since it doesnt weigh much you lose on top.where the heavier fllywheel uses its own weight to keep itself turning. Thanks for the input

You want to run on the street or track?
A stock flywheel is much more friendly on the street. I have a stage 3+ clutch and I think I would tear my hair out if I had a light weight flywheel.
Stick with stock unless every .010 of a second counts.

Street will be what Im lookin at. A fun driver that can surprise a few people. Thanks for the reply that also helps the budget by not forking over the extra money for the flywheel. What kind of clutch are you using? Im looking a the spec stage 2 or 2+
