Question No Fire on Center Cylinders

I am looking at a 1992 LX with a dual plug 4cyl. The owner said it drove fine and then just started running very bad. He started the engine for me and ran it for a few minutes. By touching the exhaust manifold I found out the center two cylinders are not firing. Could this be a simple fix? Injectors, coil packs, sensor, or ??????

I have not been able to hook up a code reader yet.

Thanks for any insight.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the response. I'll see if I can find some time to try this and let you know the results.

Also, try swapping in an ignition control module, I picked one up for my old mustang for $35 at the local junkyard. I had the same problem and was dumbfounded, I had done coil packs, plugs and wires. The ICU solved it though, good luck with yours.
