2.3 turbo going back to stock Ecu

2.3 turbo going back to stock Ecu
I have a 87 2.3 turbo mustang
The guy I bought it from told me the motor was from a 88 thunderbird but I got the car on a standalone system called megasquirt aka mega **** in a little black box. Long story short I fried the mother board and the proscess of getting a new one made for my car is taking to long. I want to switch back to a stock Ecu and get a tune. Don't know much about these cars but what Ecu to get and would it run like **** or will it run good.
