I have an 89 fox body 4 cyclinder with the light duty t5 transmission. I have a chance to buy a t5 transmission from an 96 3.8 v6. Does any one know if it will bolt rate in or do I need to change anything. If not should I go with a t5 out of a 8 cyclinder.

Make sure the t5 from the sixxer has the same pilot bearing size as the 4 cyl. I know the 99-04 v6 t5 will NOT fit. likewise with the v8 t5 as the pilot bearing is bigger.

Just an update finally found a a 2.3 transmission next step is to replace the rear end I messed up. And to replace the drive shaft that I spun the balancer off of.
