Making the trip home! The 5.4 pulled her like a tractor dragging a leaf.
36,516 Actual Miles!
Just a little dusty under the hood.
The light gray upholstery is exceptionally clean. Hard to believe.
The boot is in the bag in the trunk. It's only been put on once. It's like it was never touched.

On our way home!
Almost flawless interior!
36,515 actual miles!
She's a little dusty under the hood, but very dry and no leaks. Rubber all looks good.
Had to drop the top!
The cover boot looks like it's never been used. The bag is in the trunk with it.

These are the wheels I plan on going with. They're what I remember most from my high school days. The rich kids drove these and I always dreamed of having one. I'm going to do my best to make it a reality. Do you think the 17x8s are too big for a 2.3 LX? Should I just get a set of 16x8s?

I've been hard at work on this little pony for over a week now. I just thought I'd share some of my progress. I know that some people might criticize me for investing so much time and dollars into a 2.3L LX, but this is still a Mustang to me. I feel that all Fox Bodies have potential to be a lot more than they're portrayed as. As of right now, I have no immediate desires to do a V8 swap. I appreciate this Mustang for what it is and for its solid reputation for being bullet proof. Let me know what you guys think.
Getting her stripped down. I had to order new door moldings because the original ones were a little bit wavy and rippled along the bottom. I also ordered new door belt moldings. Those seem to always weather in time.
In the paint booth and ready for a pretty coat of vibrant red.
I purchased a set of 17x8 pony wheels with Sumitomo HTZ II 245/45/17 tires.
Today, I cut out the bar that holds the Ford oval on the front grille. I will be upgrading to this 93 Cobra grille. I always liked the look of the pony a lot more.
Because this is not a 5.0, I feel the sides look a little on the plain side. I purchased these tri-bar pony badges for the fenders.

For anyone who cares to know. I thought I'd post some updated pictures on my progress. She's actually finished, for the most part. I just can't seem to get the latest pictures to work.
New emblems and splash guards. Luggage rack repainted.
New 17" Pony Wheels and Sumitomo 17x8 tires. Side moldings yet to be put on.
Cobra grille and chin spoiler installed.
Cobra grille and chin spoiler.
Just another angle.

That turned out AWESOME !!! And whoever rips on you for not doing the V8 swap, we'll they just don't appreciate the car for what it is.......an exceptionally clean example of a Foxbody Mustang.
Rims and tires look perfect on there, it actually makes the car look like it was slightly lowered.
Great job and can you do my car next ??? lol
