Default 289 bored .30 over ?

I have a question folks, I am still in the process of fixing my once stolen 67 mustang, the motor (289 hi-po from a 66 Falcon) was previously bored .30 over. I am thinking about having it rebuilt and trying to get more horsepower out of it. Any suggestions on a limited budget to obtain that task? How much would you say it has now? Any rebuild kits better than any other? ENLIGHTEN ME OH CHRYSTAL BALL OF MUSTANG KNOWLEDGE!

if im not mistaken i was under the impression the falcon never got "K" motor id look into some air flow reasearch heads along with a cam intake and headers to match

he said limited budget LOL

piece the rebuild kit together yourself, or you can grab one from northernautoparts for cheap and then just upgrade the rings and pistons. a "302" kit (same as the 289) is like 360.00 with the following upgraded parts: cam, rings, freeze plugs, oil pump, pistons, timing chain
