harmonic balancer torque

Default harmonic balancer torque

well my harmonic balancer broke on me yesterday, i mean broke, a nice big chunk broke right at the key way. anyway i bought a new one and im having a hell of a time finding the torque spec for the 15/16 bolt that holds it on. any one know the spec. i have two manuals and neither have the torque for it.

Put the car in high gear too when you torque it, otherwise the car may try to roll, even with the parking brake on.

i don't know how thats going to work with having a automatic trans. i think if i put a pipe wrench on the section thats out i might be able to torque it. im talking about the section that the pulleys bolt to.

To keep from spinning when your torque put a couple bolts in holes where pulley bolts to and put a pry par between them. Have some hold that as yo torque it down. Just did mine when I did timing chain and it was 70 to 90 lbs.

or you could rent a 1/2 " electric or pneumatic impact wrench (if you don't own one)
