95 Thunderbird with 4.6
Some of you may have read and remember the thread I made the other night about the 91 Camaro RS and the lady I work with who thinks its fast. Well last night we got on the subject about cars again and she said her Dad had a 95 Thunderbird with a v8 and she said it was fast, and faster than her Camaro. She's like man that thing flies. Seriously again, I was LOL, but not out loud. She said they raced awhile back and by the way she was talking her Dad won. The 95 Thunderbirds with the 4.6 were what, mid to high 15 second cars at best? On a lighter, but good note, she said her parents just bought an 07 Camry with the v6, I so wanted to bust out and tell her the Camry would whoop both cars, LOL.

Yeah, the 95's with the 4.6's are slowwwwww. I know a kid that had one with full bolt-ons and a "chip", which probably didn't do anyting for it. But he raced my other friend with a '96 Cavalier Z24 that was stock and still didn't beat it until the Z24 shut off at 107. Then the T-bird got by it since the governor was removed from the chip. Supposedly it'd do 152mph, the guy said. I highly doubt it though, from the lack of power and aerodynamics.

As far as the v8 models, they're pretty much [:'(]. But if any stockish foxbody or sn95 npi would be in trouble with a s/c v6 tbird, or the s/c v6 cougar. The t/c 4cyl werent too shabby really either.
Buddy of mine is in the process of doing the s/c swap on his 98 v6 stang. He's getting the eaton from my little brothers deceased s/c cougar. Should be very interesting what the outcome will be. s/c + his new 3.73's, I might be in trouble myself [:@]

Had a 95 with a Trac Lok and smaller than stock tires. This gave it a decent stab at the 60'. It ran a 15.5@88mph. Claims of high 15's are the norm though, as most spin a bit off the line an that nets a high 15 for those.
Super coupes are bottom 15's and easily modded to run faster. As for the Turbo coupes being a threat. No, not to a 4.6L Tbird.
I hear ya on the Camry. Pretty sad that the power of those cars will often go unappreciated.

V8 T-Birds were pretty quick for a mid-90's personal luxury crusier. The interiors on those look really good and comeplenty options that belong on a Lincoln. There aren't many comparalbe cars ( 2 dr., RWD criusers) besides the Mark VIII ( 32v 4.6).
Remember "fast" is very subjective, and a V8 T-Bird is probably quicker than a lot of things on the road, or at least feels quicker due to the TQ.
I'd rather have a 95 S/C with a 5spd., though.[8D]
They are pretty responsive to mods; a CAI, MAF, thorttle body, exhaust work, smaller pulley, and a dyno tune on a 95 ( 230 HP/335ish TQ,stock)would be a sweet ride/sleeper.Come to think of it, that Bird would fly. [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
