I have a question I asked in a seperate topic in the 99-04 specific threads ..
I was given a set of MeccaTune Red Sun HIDs from a friend and we installed them into a 2003 Cobra .. I know the high beam indicator comes on because they are single output HIDs .. but now the fogs won't light up at the same time because the highbeams are telling the car they're on .. I now know how to rewire the switch so the fog lights come on independently from the rest of the lights, my question is .. is this common and is there another way to make them work that you know of, and also is if re-wiring is the only option, will it be safe to use since I plan on adding HID's to the fog lamps as well ? Do you think your 12000K fog lamp HID kit will match the color of my current kit ?
Thank in advance !

To activate your HIDs, do you have to turn your high beams on? If so, there is little mod you can do to the plug that came with the HIDs so that they turn on with your low beam and then you won't have the annoying high beam indicator light come on. We have a how to on our blog that goes over how to create a "fake" relay so that your fogs stay on with the high beams. It doesnt involve any rewiring and it can be removed in less than a minute. I am not sure which color kit you have for the headlamps. If you don't have a 12K kit, then the foglamps won't be a dead on match. If you want, you can email us and we'll email you the instructions for the re-wire for the headlamps and the fake relay for the fogs. Thanks!
