Default RE: what to offer on left over '07 Shelby GT?

They repriced the Shelby GT and marked it down about 4k from the factory for 2007 (though the stock GT got more fluff and became more expensive before the shelby package, so it's more like 2.5k), the Shelby GT is a GOOD deal if you can find the sort of deal you get on regular cars with it. I've run the numbers myself and when you factor in labor you are actually paying $1400 to $1900 for the name, remember the Shelby also commes with the 2k CS package, painted stripes, preformance package, and other stuff like new sill plates and the grill. AND it resells better.

Personally I think it's offensive to BUY a Shelby GT new because of the mark up but it's a neat car... at invoice, there is nothing wrong with owning one if you can find a way not to be pegged as a sucker.

I would walk in, offer them 34,750 and if they refuse, make it blatantly clear that when you walk out you will be going straight to buy this Shelby with over 1k of options and 1k of good aftermarket mods on it:

It's legit but you will have to either pick it up or ship it to you which can cost you, obviously the sale ends tommorow morning, but you can simply e-mail the dealer and offer 33k when this car doesn't sell (and I can bet you t won't being a weekend ).

good luck.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.
