RE: Cutting the y-pipe for H-pipe duals. Affected Backpressure?
ok check it....i got a 94 v6 mustang i just had dual flow master install on my car. the shop went ahead and cut off 2 cats. now ever since then when i take off the car seems to put a bit....like its gasping for air, fuel, or something! (dont do it all the time) so i went back to the shop, they tol dme i need to adjust my fuel system to match up with the new back preassure. so i took my tang to another shop and had them install a adjustable fuel regulator an da high performance chip. well, they check engine light stop coming on, and everything seem fine for a bit, until a day or so, the same crap happen again. my tang would putt for a bit on take off speed. so then i went back to the exhaust shop and they pointed out that i needed to buy a mil O2 eliminator. i did jus that and had them install it yesterday. today it still did the same putting crap when you take off. so, do i need to keep all four cats on with the dual flow masters, or what? i dont have h pipes or x pipes, i'm running stright dual exhaust pipes from front to back. please help anyone!
