Default 94 GT Mods

I just bought a 94 GT 5spd. I have a thousand dollars to invest and I was wondering what you guys thought would be the best way to invest it. The car only has 78,000 on it so everything is in good condition. It already has the standard bolt ons (exhaust, cia, MSD ingnition, and it has a chip) What do you guys think the best to spend a 1000$ on it.

id go with 3:55 or 3:73 depending on your driving, if you want pretty good higway with a kick to it go with 3:55, if you want alot of power through town and have a little highway gear to it then go 3:73, i had 373's in my fox, the thing went chirped 4th with it a few times, the gas ghuage goes way down with 373's so im gonna go with 3:55's in my car htis time around..

Alright I'll look into getting gears. Hows the install on those? I like doing work to my car myself to save on the labor and i just love to work on cars but have never done anything with gears before only motor stuff.

if uve never done anything with gears i recommend getting someone whos done it a few times to either do it or at least help u..its not that its real tough..u just have to have things perfect...and have the tools to do it..i think autozone rents them but still..u need someone who knows what there doing...i had a guy who used to work in a speed shop help me install mine and they worked great. and for a 5spd if u do any kind of highway or really out of town driving, 3.73s are great...pulls like crazy when u want it to..but still runs a gas mileage reasonable rpm down the highway

Alright thanks, I talked to a friend that did them in his camaro last summer and he said he will help, and he still has the tools.
