95 GT Drivers Powerseat Motor.....BAD???
Ok my 95 Gt Drivers side powerseat motor, quit working
it just makes noise but no movement when i press the button,
so i took the seat out to look at the motor and i cant figure out how to remove the motor,
any ideas,
i imagine the motor has to come off the bottom of the seat, someone told me i might have to change out the whole seat..... i dont see that happening.
i got a HAYNES manual, but it dont tell you $hit
thanks..............

I'm not sure how the power seats work in mustangs, but in my 99 Z-71 there was a cable that would get off track and cause the seat from moving. You could hear the motor running but it would not move. Anyway i put the cable back on track and it was fine.
Clarification: I use to own the truck. But when i sold my nova and bought a mustang, i also sold the truck and bought and bought an old F-250. I busted the gears twice in the chevy and couldn't figure out why. I'm talking just normal driving and they broke twice. I could be at a red light fully stopped and the truck would lurge forward so violently that i would look in my rear view thinking someone had hit me. I finally saw the problem when i put a lift kit on it. The crossmember that tied the frame up front had hit a stump hard. It looked like a perfect U, so the truck was like alway's in a bind.Never noticed it untill i had to pull the skid plate off. I told a mechanic what was wrong with it and sold it for lowbook value. WOOOOHOOOOO

The guy I work with had the same problem on his 94, he just went to the yard and got a manual seat bracket. If you pick up the brackets for the seat, getting the motor out in one piece isn't really an issue anymore.
