Shiny wheels
hey guys, what do you use to keep ur wheels shiny and clean? I've had mine in storage all winter and spent three hours polishing two of them yesterday, for when i get my car back on the road. I want them to stay shiny once i start driving daily, without having to take out the polish every week if i can. Just wondering what you guys use.

RE: Shiny wheels
I use this stuff called mothers billet polish. its like $15
really shines them up, and they stay clean for awhile... but i clean my car like every week, so idk how long it lasts =P
and its a bit pricey. for polish.
i also use this stuff called meguiars hot rims mag and aluminum polish... cheaper and works pretty good.
it costs around $6.99
Meguiars also has a hot rims chrome spray cleaner that works pretty good too.
thats pretty much all i use

i use mothers polish, it takes ALOT of time to get it shiney once its dull, but its a nice little touch up too.
other then that, the trick is to keep them as clean as possible is what ive learned.
i clean my car at least once a week, and in the summer, ill give the tires a squirt here and there to keep the dirt off

Ok. I'm in the same situation. This is what I do and it works great on mine. Use Eagle 1 Nano polish (can get at autozone), and use Flitz polish with the Flitz wheel. That will make them shine up really nice. It will take a while. After that, to keep them clean, get a rim wax. This will keep a lot of the road grime off. Of course you are going to have to reapply every once in a while and keep them clean. But when it comes time for you to clean during the winter again, it will be a hell of a lot easier. The wax helps a lot! I get Wheels Max. My y2k cobras were lookin bad, had corrosion, very very dull. Shined them up to look really good. Good luck!
