Default Woodward Cruise Mustang Alley

This is to inform all of the Mustang Fans- about the Woodward Cruise 2005

We have been getting lost of emails asking about the event for this year. I just wanted to give you a brief update as to the current status for this year's 2005 Mustang Alley. We are currently coordinating with the City of Ferndale for general planning for this year's event and there will be some significant changes.

1) Current plan is to have Mustang Alley only on Saturday from 5am to 5pm. The Friday Afternoon Ferndale Show (which was rained out last year) will not be planned for this year.

2) The Saturday Event will now be on the EAST side of 9 mile! We will be parking on 9mile (extending about a half of a mile). Some of the adjacent parking lots will be set up for cars that have paid to enter in the Ferndale Car Show. The West side on 9 mile will be reserved for a Retro Street Party with music and vendors.

3) No commitment has yet been secured for a Friday Morning Kick-Off Show at Ford World Head Quarters. I will keep you posted, as things might change...

4) We think there will be a nominal fee to get into Mustang Alley this year. It probably will be around $10 to get in. This is to cover the cost to the City of Ferndale to close the streets and some related facility costs. I would like to hear from you if this would cause you to not attend.

5) We can try to offset part of the fee by providing goodie bags to all participants, containing posters, and other Ford related stuff...

6) We will be firming up our plans in May. Expect to start seeing info on the 2005 Mustang Alley on the websites in Mid June. We will start registration in Mid June, but you will not need to pay the $10 fee until you attend the event.

7) Would you be interested in an additional Mustang event to fill Friday Night 5pm to 10pm in the parking structure in Birmingham? We could rent it out for an additional $5 parking fee to permit Mustangers park and to check out the Ford display in Birmingham (to make up for the loss of a Friday event).

I want to hear from you! Please feel free to drop me some input. We have always has a free event, but the entry fee looks unavoidable this year.

Thanks for your help!
