My hatchback LX with nearly a full tank of gas, spare/jack removed and the insulation above the spare removed weighs 3270 lbs. With me in it, it weighs 3450 (I weigh 180). I've weighed mine on a car weighing scale at the track. If you spell weighin enough it looks like a really wierd word....

with a full tank, gutted, and me in it (150lbs) my car weighed in at about 3,080lbs. Without me in it it weighed about 2,930lbs. On my title it is listed as a 4 cylinder LX coupe. Its a base model, no power windows, etc. And it says it weighs 2,700lbs.
Its a 1988 LX notch back. with a 5.0 conversion.

1985 LX hatch. 69' 302 block, stock internals, MPT70, Megasquirt II, 42# injectors, C4 w/reverse manual/brake. Its a project in process......looking for mid-10's though.
So by getting a notch, you could save about 350lbs compared to a SN95. If you are racing, your not worried about safety.
Yeah, my LX 5.0 Hatch(M/T) weights 3160 according to my local rock place, with most of a tank of gas, no A/C, and nothing out of the ordinary in the car.
