Dont know if this should go in this section or not, but i have a 88 LX fox and i am wanting to do something different. I want to do an ls1 swap in it, anyone here done it or know if anyone makes a conversion for it i don't want to have a fabricate a bunch of BS

I also have read a bit about it, you can go tubalar cross member or I think some
are using 4.6 crossmembers, have to do more research to be sure though.
Pro50 told you right thats the forum to check out for all things LS1.

RE: Fox body/LS1 conversion..
I have seen a few that have been done. The hard part is the headers, your only choices are running factory manifolds or a custom header (= big $$). Your going to get flamed here because 99% of these guys are so closed minded it's not even funny. Personally an LS1 swap is the first thing I would do to a Fox. Forget all the Ford vs. Chevy BS, the swap just makes sense if you can score an engine, trans and harness for a decent price. The engine is light, powerfull and responds very well to simple mods. Think about how fast (and streetable) a light weight Notch with 400 rwhp would be. My car= 11.80's at a race weight of 3700 lbs, my combo in a 2800 notch would almost run 10's. I guess I am a racer first and not a brand loyalist. BTW, I am willing to bet that you will not get flamed on LS1tech about this subject.
