Default comp cams vs crane cams

Ok a comp cam is what ive been lookin and plannin on getting for a long time. I have my eye set on this http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

But I was searching around and found this crane cam that has a similar setup. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I've really been set on the Comp but when I saw the price....I just don't know anymore...Give me some feedback THANKS

WHy don't you just get the Trick Flow Stage 1 that everyone suggested in your other thread. With cams your looking at, unless you do a full H/C/I combo and plan on revving it to 6500 rpm you won't get the power you want. Sure it might sound good but it will be a turd.

If you would look at the link it isn't the same cam Ive been lookin at, this lift is lower. And why the hell would I have to rev it to 6500 to get power?

Because bigger cams need to be revved higher to take advantage of thier peak HP. Now that I look at those cams they are better than the other one, but I still get the feeling you are looking for sound as much as performance and thats just not the right way to pick out a cam.

I think they're both great cam companies... neither of those cams has a very agressive duration, and thats what gives you more powa

That Comp cam is only like $258
You are looking at the K kit that includes lifters and everything. You don't need new lifters unless you have a million miles on your old ones.
I bought the same grind for my 94 .512 lift is a little easier on parts and suites my needs.

You might as well put new lifters in, even if they are low miles. You dont wanna take that chance of having to go back and replace them later if they fail you.
