I'm not here to argue, but anybody who says carbs are crap are idiots. You obviously don't know how to tune. I didn't see the debate but there are plenty of people who are fast that swear by carbs. Maybe they are all wrong. They are easier to tune and cheaper to use. Whatever the argument is still stupid. It's all preference.

I totally agree. I never saw a debate or poll about who runs carb or efi. My carbed engines have allways done great.

A Predator carb has a big ole set of barn door like butterflies that open, where a holley has like the 4 or 3 butterflies. They also open in parallel to how the engine is setting in the car, from front to back and not side to side like a holley or demon The carburetor will only give your engine what it needs or what it can pull threw the carb. Very simple carb, just highly misunderstood.

In theory the predator carb is a great idea. Infact if I wasn't given a Edelbrock I would have got one myself. The good thing a predator carb is you can do whatever you want to your engine and not have to upgrade the carb. Actually you can use the pred on blow thru apps also they offer a extended fuel bowl for extra capacity. As far as carb v efi I'll takecarb. The less wiring the better!Anything breaks on a carb setup I can fix for less than 100.00 Try to replace a MAF for 100.00. It's all about what you want to do.

EFI ftw, I love the reliability, I have had a few carbed cars and I just like the EFI fuel management better, just my opinion.

I agree with your statement also EFI is a lot more reliable, but on the same note the only time I had prob with my carb is when it got really hot outside, switched to an electric pump with fuel return and reg.It kept the fuel away from the hot engine and kept the fuel cooler by returning the leftovers to the tank.

i'm hating EFI right now! but that bitch won't bring me down, been with holley and edelbrock on my 68 Dart and 69 Chevelle the sound of the 4 barrels sucking air on the eddy is sick! but its seems like holley performs better IMO.
i'll talk to my dad of the Predator for his 400cid tt fox his crazy ass wants to build

if you have a laptop, some killer tuning software, and the know-how to put it to good use a EFI system can be great. if you want your tuning tools to consist of a handful of jets and a flathead screwdriver, then buy a carb. did i mention a handful of jets and a screwdrivers costs less than 50.00 and a laptop and tuning software costs an easy 1000.00

we wont even get into why all dragsters and nascars and such use carbs (if efi is really better)

hmm.......

carb ftw
