hi i was actually wondering why my aod ill not shift into od at wot? my car tops out at 120, but everone else i talk to says they top out at 140. i have 373 gears. any ideas? it as jsut rebuilt by aamco. also where can i find a trans brake for the aod?

Why wud u want it to shift into OD at WOT??? You must not like having that 4th gear.....

i could care less if my AOD shifted into OD at WOT but i would like to be able to give it past half throttle in OD without it downshifting..

ok let me make this easy there is olny 3gears one over drive the end of 3rd is 120 i cant go past that it ont shift it just redlines, so everyone else is telling me that there car easily hits 140 hy cant i hit 140?

thats another thing after it shift into od with 1/4 throttle it down shifts. anyways i want to go past 120 stock civics top out higher!!!!

What im saying is that its not a good idea to have it shift into OD at WOT. Its not a racing gear. You'll burn up the OD band.

3 and a od but thats true i didnt think my bad it would just burn the gear. so if i want more top end i eather need a nother gear or new ring and pinion. thanks for clearing that up for me.

with a 5 spd you could top out at 140. but not with an AOD. AOD will not shift into OD at WOT. why would you want to go that fast on the street anyway? very dangerous, especially in a fox.

i kno its not smart or safe but im 20, i live like superman!!!!! im so goofy i should have thought about it cus i test drove a 5.0 with 4 10s and i peg the mph so. no im just ganna swap to a 5speed. thank you all for the best help ever!!!!!
