well that still didn't answer my question!! you have not verified the sensor is working and or gauge...how do I know that as to make such a bold statement?? cause that sensor pictured is the ect for the ecm input not for the gauge.... the temp sensor for the gauge is a single wire with a 90 degree elbow on the end and is on the driver side very front of the lower intake left corner....can't miss it..replace it and see if the gauge works

Ground the single wire for the temp sensor. If the gauge is working, it will make the gauge see full hot

Yea.. I need a new one of those for my stock gauge to work but I spent $25 and got a mechanical gauge from the part store to see what my temp really is.

that stock gauge aint too accurate even with a "working" sender

i put my autometer on my '92 just because i had it off my other car. sure enough, the stock one was off by over 10 degree's most of the time.
