Default 2.3 to 5.0 swap

ive got a 302 ive built to go in my 93 2.3 hatch i plan on puttin a t5 behind it
so what will i have to put in the mustang to make it fit
im putting an 8.8 in with 3 73 but will i need a new tranny cross member and k member?

Same body for both, k-member is fine but motor mounts need to be changed as well as tranny crossmember. New wiring harness and from what I hear underdash harness as well for the gauges to work. Fuel lines need to be changed or rerouted and the stock rear can be used but wont last forever under that motor. Also t5 should be from a 5.0 or equivalent or it wont last too long. Driveshaft will probably need to be changed I was told just the yoke but ended up replacing it. Im on the second year of my swap due to school, work, military, and finances. Chris

proply get a new radiator and your 4cyl tack wont work with the 5.0 either

well i plan on a new rear and radiator like a 2 or 3 core something nice and big but if i dont need a new k member thats sweeet it will make it alot easier i got to convert it to stick and i plan on getting a cluster out of a 89-93 lx or gt

302 will drop right in on a 4cyl. ....EFI or a carb. setup?

im in the final stages of this. K members the same motor mounts need to be 5.0 and my transmission bolted right up to the stock ****. Im carbed no wiring harness for me right now i only have like 10 wires and thats everything, lights not ran yet. Alls i have left is running the tranny cooler lines, buying a shifter cable and ill be on the street in the daytime lol. oyea need to drain my breaks. PM me if you need any pointers i ran through this with no problems just been kinda lazy.

You will need the motor harness and ecu from that motor...I think the inside harness is the same....and you will HAVE to run a GT or LX cluster for everything to work properly.

well i got the harness and ecu out of the thunderbird along with the tranny crossmember which i think is a double hump.

check your tach, it might have the little screw on it to change from 4-6-8. Mine did, but she's an '83. Who knows, just throwing shyt out there, good luck on the build!
