Default gt-40p stock springs e303 cam

Is anyone running the gt-40p heads with the stock springs and e303 cam. If not the e303 cam any cam other than the stock cam. If you are how long and have you. Have any trouble. And if you did try the stock springs with a cam and had trouble what size cam was it.

ANY....... any cam besides the stock cam REQUIRES a valve spring upgrafe PERIOD. FYI.... today I had a 1990 Mustang towed to my shop with an unknown cam (alphabet most likely) and pseudo performance springs......... one valve broke one of the retainer's locks. Due to coil binding.

IOW.... if your upgrading the cam, spend the $$ on good springs/valve train setup. Your wallet will thank you, and your setup will be happy.

Will here's the story had gt-40p heads with com cam springs paid machine shop [never again] 200 dollars to put retainers, locks and clean the heads up. Run it maybe 100 miles broke a spring dropped the valve killed the block, oil pan, and head there done, all in my driveway didn't do the first burn out. Looks like he used the wroung retainers to me got another spring with the retainer jammed in it. I bring it back to the shop and he says looks like it a broke spring, yeah! I have another gt-40p motor that I was hoping I could get by with just changing out the cam and intake and use the stock springs and save some money becuase I spent so much on the first motor.
