dont worry about them being worn becuase its a new reman ford engine..

what springs and for what cam did you order the stuff??

its a custom cam from comp cams

Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 218 int./224 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 270
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 276
Advertised Duration: 270 int./276 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.512 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.512 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.512 int./0.512 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 110


its basicly the 35-351-8 cam with a lower LSA 4 degrees lower

you need the proper retainers the stock ones are most likely not large enough diameter to mate with the springs

just be patient and get the right stuff, now is not the time to be in a hurry , expecially when prepping the valvetrain!!

letsay if they are big enough and sit good.. i can use them?? becuase the new ones looks like the same diameter but just dubbel spring

well ok.. i will better be patient then have the engine explode on me..

dont use the stock ones. i have pictures ill post em. the stockers are multi piece design and ive heard that with performace cams + higher spring pressures will cause them to break apart under load

the inner spring sits on a stepped retainer I believe with a dual set up and the stock ones don't have such = don't use them
