sorry i didnt' mention in the first post...it's just a stock short block..i have an F cam edelbrock perfromer intake a set of e7's that flow 202 on intake and 164 on exhaust at 550 lift...that's about it...
Ehh....dunno about not lasting...It will last with low boost, but the problem is...when you feel it with low boost...your gonna want more...so thats when ya say ahh it will be fine and give it more..thats when it wont last.

Yea Dude
Racing
there is only one way to find out!
The problem is you might want to have a 5.0 block in the works with a forged bottom end because when it goes it wont be pretty. I like N/A for this reason you can abuse it more.
Turbo sure would be fun to mess with for a while

A stock block will live a long time with 8psi boost, but kind of over kill having a twin turbo set up with only 8psi. I have a friend running 15psi on a single set up right now, stock block.

But he said "Not hard on the motor" lol! 15 psi on his old stock motor the head gasket would probable blow right out in minutes

No doubt that it would do that. That's what i was getting at though was he would probably be plenty safe with only 8 psi on it. Boost is like a bad drug, once you start, just can't get enough. Just like the speed bug, once bitten, it's a rash that keeps itching for a lifetime.
