for the evap make sure the gas cap is good and and the rubber grommet where the filler neck goes into the tank. and retard the timing to 10 if you have it bumped up

you might need new cats. thats always been an issue with my 86. i have to replace them every other smog year (4yrs). bad plug wires will give you a rich condition. if the gas cap failed they would have tried to sell you a new cap. thats about the only thing a test only station will do. make sure they heat the cats up really good before testing.

Well when i got to the shop it was too late.., they had closed. Im getting out early off of work today to go pick up the stang. I hope my cats are still good! I dont think they are bad because even before i put on the stock h-pipe the pony had a bad idle with the off-road h-pipe/? IDK well see. I have a question and it might be a little stupid but here it goes! If a shop does a diagnoses and you take your car home, go ahead and replace the parts they diagnosed where bad and the car still runs the same as before can i go back to the shop and ask for my money back of course showing them reciepts and everything you did?

Runs codes, make sure you back at factory designated timing, run injector cleaner through your fuel system and post your actual smog numbers...

I failed twice, I am in Cali and i later passed after running fuel injector cleaner, with timing back at 10*. Not saying it will fix your problem but its a start.

gg grandfather clause ftw. Washington state doesn't mandate emissions for anything older than 20 yrs either!

'66 ftw.
