I just dont understand what makes the 5.0 system different from the other megasquirt systems when you said a megasquirt can run any engine. im guessing it has to do with connectors and sensors but I am just wanting to make sure. Isnt that the point of the forum?

it has NOTHING to do with connectors or sensors... megasquirt is the ultimate universal DIY stand alone EMS... it can be configured to run ANY car...

there is no such thing as a 5.0 megasquirt... merely one that is configured to work with the equipment that we have.

The only thing you need to do to install a megasquirt in your car, is unplug your stock ECM, and wire in the megasquirt... you dont need to install any new sensors, buy any weird harnesses, or customize anything.

Hell, I used to remove my adapter harness and plug my stock ECM in when I ****ed up my tune

I know thats what a megaquirt does. I just didnt if there was a variation with sensors or not. I was just a little confused when they have a 5.0 specific since everything is customizable. thats all I was asking, thanks for the help. Have you considered going back to the megasquirt?

I have however, seriously been considering buying a microsquirt and trying again

So, why is the Tweecer garbage? Samseed used to run one on his superchaged 5.0 and swore by it. Said it was user friendly easy to tune.

So adder, what are the short comings of the Tweecer?
