A friend of mine got a 306 short block from them and it was first class. This was nearly 10 years ago, but I would assume they kept quality assurance up to still be in business. Good luck

Yep! I too have read horror stories about the DSS blocks. But then again, I have not had any personal experience with them. I'd check out Fordstrokers before getting a DSS.

ehh...mixed opinions from the corral.

I think DSS engines are pretty good from the research that I have done-although I have no experience with them personally. However, I have corresponded with Woody at fordstrokers and he will give much more engine for your money.

You need to really do serious research before buying from DSS. Their rep has not been good as of late.

for what i paid for my pro bullet 306..$2300 shipped to my door i could have gotten a stroker from woody an extra 300 i could of gotten a 351 stroker.

i bought my dss block in 2002,and it was still running when pulled, but it wasn't because of dss qaulity control..i just got lucky.

the cylinders were scored to hell...bearings were being chewed up,and the deck wasn't true either..

like most here will agree if you buy a dss pro bullet super pro and all that jazz 347 stroker with forgerd piston's steel crank....at the end of the day when you shut that engine off it's still a stock block with hype inside.
