thanks for the opinions guys and what the shop guy said about my friends car was that there was no backpressure so the exhaust valve couldnt close?? :/ but i already have some ****ty economy muffflers that dump and i hate it there is no load roar when i get on it

no backpressure so the exhaust valve couldnt close?? does he not know that theres a VALVE spring in the head, around the VALVE, with a rocker arm bolted down and acts as a fulcrum point in conjunction with the exhaust valve and on the other end a pushrod, which goes to the cam with lobes on it that open and close the VALVE relating to the position of the pushrod on the cam..............you might want to find a new shop. haha

i think you should tell your buddy to stop goin to that shop.... sounds like they umm dont really know their stuff....

yeah if i were you id go somewhere where they work on alot of hot rod cars especially mustangs. maybe they can tell you something more or less. sounds like some pretty bad rings and no compression to me. but what do i know. i dont run a shop either!! lol.

lol i told him that he should do all te work himself because these guys make a living off working on cars and im pretty sure they would try and convince him there was a leperchon in his muffler just for a couple bucks.

to be honest, at the dealership, i havent tried to sell anything they didnt need. the one i work at is really honest about the work the car needs
