I'm running a Taurus Fan and a fan controller from the parts store. Not sure the amp rating on the relay but I put a 30 amp fuse in and it has worked great so far.

Im switching to and e-fan as well. I was planning on using a powered switch with an inline fuse and relay. The only thing is the fan is a 2 speed. Does anyone know how i would go about wiring in a hi-lo switch?

OK so it looks like I'm gonna get a 40amp relay w/ an 40amp in-line fuse... Now I just need to find an 12v key-on source "inside the engine bay".. Anyone?

Thanx

there is the wire that triggers the starter solenoid for the key on source..... or pull it from the inside of the car.

I've got a taurus fan installed in mine, i used a bosch 70 amp relay from NAPA, it was the only place i was able to find it and it took them a bit of searching to find it also. I know the brand is signal-stat but im not sure what the part number was it cost about 20-25 dollars for that 70 amp relay.

Wiring it i used the hi side only on the fan and all you need to do is get a 60-70 amp fuse tapped off your battery then run that to one side of the relay then out of the other side to your fan, then also tap your ground off of the battery straight to the fan #10 awg wire will be fine to use.

Then i purchased this thing from the parts store its like a double tap fuse you can install in your fuse box under the dash with 2 15amp fuses, it seems as there was 1 fuse that was switched with the key and i tapped into that one and ran that to a switch i mounted on my knee panel under the steering wheel. Then from there go to the coil pin of the relay. After that you should just need another ground for the coil side of the relay.

With that setup you will have the fan operated by a switch under the dash.... if you want to get the dcc setup or the parts store probe setup its a little more complicated
