Default oil pressure gauge not moving

gauge showing in the normal range 2nd line from the top but has not moved. recently changed intake from stock to 98 explorer upper and lower. oil level is good. gauge worked fine prior to changing intake. use to show at the line below the middle and moved, but now its not going anywhere.

think i found the sender. single white/red wire going right above and next to the oil filter. that was disconnected when the intake was changed. the wire was moved around. maybe check continuity or the wire for damage. that'll wait until tomorrow. any idea on what kind of resistance should be showing for that sender???

ground it out and see if it pegs the gauge.

yes i put it back on. last night i tried to tighten up the plug (maybe didnt have a good connection). no change. i'm gonna go try taking it off, grounding it, and see what happens. does the engine need to be running or can the car be on but not running to get a reading?

disconnected the white/red wire from the sender, turned the car on (not cranked), no change. tried grounding the white/red wire and no change. grounding problem somewhere up the wire to the gauge???

bad gauge or bad ground but if your other gauges work i believe they have the same grounding point.
