DSS is notorious for their lack of quality control

You might want to check out www.fordstrokers.com before you make this purchase.

Ive installed a good many DSS engines for customers I find that they are quality built engines with excellant machine work. So much so that when I needed a block for my own build I ordered up a Level 10 with everything but screw in freeze plugs for my build. Out of everything that has rolled through my door from DSS has been absolutly spot on.

The biggest problem that people have is they don't know how to prep their engines for initial start up. If you get it right for the first minute that engine runs and you have it licked. Like anyplace I'm sure a bad engine gets out from time to time. You will hardly ever hear anyone admit they screwed up becuse they didn't know how to get it ready to fire up. I have 0 complaints with them. Best Machine work I've EVER seen and I'm very very picky. I wouldn't hesitate buying anything from them.

Ive installed some engines from CHP as well. They are also top notch but I like the machine work from DSS a bit better. I say go for it
